After doing every kind of diet we could think of, we decided to try the Crash and Burn - on the 24th August 2004 two shy Telly Tubbies descended on Better Bodies to see if they could work a miracle on us. With a lot of support and motivation from Mark and his team, the weight and inches started to disappear.

After 6 weeks we were beginning to feel the benefit of all our hard work and surprisingly enjoyed it - so much so, we did a further 3 Crash and Burns and lost 5 stone between us! Exercise has now become part of our lives and we feel so much healthier.

Better Bodies is a small and very friendly gym and we would encourage anyone to join, you will certainly feel welcome. Thank you Better Bodies for helping us achieve our results. To top it all, with all our hard work we were rewarded with a trophy from Mark and the Team as their "Members of the year" award.

I had not done any real exercise for about 15 years and it was beginning to show. I had contemplated joining a gym, but always thought they were a little intimidating and something for the younger generation. Once I had made the initial contact with Better Bodies my fears were put to rest.

I joined and began to enjoy the workouts, thanks to the professional advice and assistance given by the great team at Better Bodies Health Club. I would highly recommend Better Bodies to anyone who wishes to improve their quality of life and self esteem.

I can say without a doubt, that joining a gym has been one of the best decisions of my life! I was truly terrified the first time I walked into the gym, but over the last four months, my confidence, happiness and energy has dramatically increased, and I feel so much less stressed! The staff at Better Bodies are all extremely dedicated and friendly, there never seems to be a bad vibe in the place! I would seriously recommend joining a gym, so why not make it this one!

Hi I'm Carol, I joined Better Bodies in January, 2006. I remember feeling terrified, it had taken me 6 months to pluck up the courage just to walk into a gym, but I did it and I am so glad I did. Mark and the team are really friendly and made me feel very welcome, which was important to me.

I guess everyone joins a gym for different reasons, for me it was to feel healthier and better in myself, I had always classed myself as a reasonably fit and healthy person, having a busy working life and running about after children saw to that, but as they grew older I 'grew slower' (in more ways than one). Feeling tired all of the time and getting lazier was doing me no good whatsoever, so I decided to join the 'Crash & Burn' course. I wasn't sure if I would like it or indeed, be able to cope with it! I'm pleased to say I did and subsequently joined as a full member along with my partner.

I didn't want a quick fix weight loss, as I said, for me it was to feel better in myself and about myself, however the plus side is that I have lost just over a stone in weight and lost a few inches too. I feel so much healthier now and gained some confidence back, and if I continue to lose weight then that's a bonus. I don't have to run about after kids anymore but I am not out of breath when I run up the stairs, and on top of that I can bend down and put my socks on again!

I had always wanted to do something about my weight because it was making me unhappy, but I was terrified to join a gym and hated sport. After agreeing to join with my friend Kate, I rang Better Bodies and they were extremely friendly and supportive on the phone - setting my mind at rest almost immediately.

I did the Crash and Burn program and to my surprise I loved it! I had always hated P.E at school, but this was different and it made me feel so much better about myself, physically and mentally.

I lost a stone and 16 inches and fitted into a size 10 dress just in time for my 21st birthday! I can't believe I was so frightened in the first place, because all the staff and members are so understanding and make exercise an enjoyable experience - which it had never been for me before. Now, when I don't go to the gym for a few days I really miss it. I would never have thought something so simple could have increased my confidence so immensely.
